How to Make a Wooden Gate

Relax, that a wooden gate, all of us to be an exciting adventure and need not be difficult or impossible. If we do everything systematically it should not be too hard. To build a wooden gate we need the right design for a particular purpose.

With a wooden gate to us, the first thingwe need to do is design. That is, we take accurate measurements based on the width of the opening, where we want the gate. We also consider the height of the fence around it. Everything must complement each other and after what we want form and function, is not it?

Then we have the necessary wood pieces Buy-4 by 4 inch jack and hinge posts, gate frames measuring 2 by 4 inches, and pickets piece of wood with dimensions of 1 by 2 inches. These are only suggestions, timber size can vary, depending on ourWooden gate design. We also need screws, some nails, 3 to 4 hinges and the catch-phrase. The size and number of pieces depends on the size of the wooden gate.

We dig holes for the latch and hinge posts. A depth of 3 meters, should do more or less. Plug one end of the posts into the holes intact and strengthened to keep up with stones and earth on the sides to avoid slipping. Or pour concrete on the sides. Then we install horizontal framework for the wooden gate of the assembly of the gateway. We fix theGate hinges, in accordance with the hinge.

Then we install the diagonal frames. Measure it accurately fit the horizontal frames. To hang, drill holes through them and the horizontal frame and put long screws. Mark spots, which are uniformly distributed, assigned to the picket line. Use a square. Then bring them to the wooden door with nails or screws on its underside. Two screws or nails would do everyone.

Finally, re-mount the wooden gate. Separate to the gate to the wood to asmooth surface and precise assembly by scraping extra wood thickness. Then remount by adding back safely on the hinges down. Imagine that opens a wooden gate and follows on from the post or bar and post smoothly.

It is best to make the wooden gate right where we intend to install it. This allows us to measure the actual need, and get the basic dimensions of wooden door from him. Handle carpentry tools and materials with the utmost care and make sure to contribute tomatching gloves when hammering nails, driving screws, or cutting with a saw.

Make sure all tools are in good condition, as will ensure that the chisel or plain blades are sharp. Sharp tools make work easier and safer. Wear a carpenter's apron, if needed.
